Help Dane get a power wheelchair!

Donation protected
My name is Jeannie and I have been visiting a gentleman named Dane, pictured above, in a long-term care nursing center for the last two and a half years.  I sing and play guitar for him, working as a therapeutic music consultant, and I have gotten to know Dane very well over our many visits.  Dane suffered a traumatic brain injury when he was a toddler, which left him mostly paralyzed on the left side of his body.  With grit and determination, Dane compensated for his injuries and went on to learn to golf, play baseball, and dance, even with limited mobility.  He had the same job for 30 years; however, when he was in his early 60's, he began to experience a decline in his mobility and had several serious falls which required him to take an early retirement and give up his apartment where he had lived independently, in order to get the help he needs.  At 66 years old, he is now bed-bound and suffers from many things, the greatest of which is his loss of independence and ability to get around on his own.  Sitting upright in a regular wheelchair provided by his long-term care community creates alot of pain for Dane, plus it requires someone to be able to push him around in it.  Dane is on an extremely limited fixed income and cannot afford to purchase a power wheelchair.  He has very little family connections, and no one who lives nearby.  He rarely has visitors and is only able to leave his facility or go on outings once every couple of months, where he is terribly uncomfortable.  He spends 99% of his time in bed, occupying his time by using his iPad, a gift to him by an elderly uncle who lives out of state, or watching television.  Dane's life has been drastically different since moving into long-term care.  Imagine rarely being able to get out of bed, and when you do, you experience pain due to a very uncomfortable seating position.  Imagine losing most of your independence, and not having the financial resources to get the assistance you desperately need.  As Dane's friend, I am reaching out to ask for donations to purchase a used electric powered wheelchair with a seat that reclines and also lifts and has other customized specifications, to make it easier for Dane to get in and out of it.  Having this wheelchair would open up some doors for Dane and would greatly improve his quality of life!!   Please help in whatever amount you can!  Please help make a real difference in someone's life!  Thank you!
This is a picture of Dane in his 30's or 40's - notice the golf club in his right hand!  He was unable to use his left arm but could still walk some on his left leg.

Here is the wheelchair we would like to get for Dane!

Used Invacare TDX SP with Power Tilt, Recline, & Leg Lift.  Wheelchair will also be fitted with some customized features to accommodate Dane's particular needs.
