Hello my name Tammy and I am asking for you to join me today in support of a great fundraising effort for an amazing person! His name is Dan Mongosa. I have had many people ask me how they can contribute to help Dan as he recovers from a hemorrhagic stroke at the young age of 50! I have seen great things happen with this Go Fund Me website and I decided it was time to put it to use for one of the most deserving persons on this earth!
This life threatening/changing event happened just over two months ago, and while Dan has made remarkable improvements since then, he still has a long road to recovery ahead of him. If you live, work, or play in the greater New Smyrna Beach/Edgewater area you have no doubt come across his smiling face at one time or another. Even if you don't know his name, you will most likely remember his contagious grin, his infectious laughter, and most certainly his "moves like Jagger" on the dance floor. He is perpetually young at heart and is one of the kindest and most giving people I have ever met. Shortly after Dan moved to Florida from Indiana we had the good fortune of meeting and we struck up a friendship that has progressed from mere aquaintance, to my wing man while out on the town, to one of my "bestest" and most dearest friends!
We (his loyal posse) have been doing what we can to help keep his spirits up, and to find ways to help out. I coordinated an effort called Dan Strong in recognition of his brave spirit and never quit attitude through all of this. He is working hard at his recovery and it's mentally, physically, and spiritually challenging as you can imagine. He has been unable to work due to all this, and of course there are lots of expenses that go along with his medical condition, and his quest for a full recovery....not to mention the everyday bills that don't stop coming just because life has dealt you a bad hand.....or in this case a damaged left side that isn't quite right yet! Jenn has been amazing through all of this and at his side from the moment she heard what happened. She has been working tirelessly to be his cheerleader and caretaker as well as deal with all of the household duties and working her full-time job. Family and friends are pitching in to do what they can, but there is still so much for her to do. I am amazed at the strength she has shown through all of this and her love and devotion to Dan is steadfast!
This is where you come in. Your generous donations would be extremely helpful in taking some of the financial pressures off of him and Jenn as they struggle to deal with all the other life altering issues they are facing, and so he can focus on his recovery and have Dan Strong come back bigger and better than ever!!
I ask for you help today so that we can all pull together and show him that we are here standing with him, and that we will continue to show him support as he battles his way back from this.
