                                            ****UPDATE****

Through the grace of God,  I am on the campus of Tuskegee University!  In order for this to happen, my family had to agree to a stringent payment plan over the course of 4 months.  The payments are extremely high and cannot be maintained without your help.  This is why  I am keeping the campaign open until my goal is reached.  

A big "Thanks"  to all who were willing to take a chance on me and sow a seed.  Thanks in advance to  all others whose gifts are forthcoming.  

Hello Family and Friends!

Most of you may know me, but for those who do not, My name is Damont'e Saunders.  I am a recent graduate of Norcross High School.  I am very EXCITED to be accepted to the historic Tuskegee University, as I see this as the starting point of creating the future that I have always dreamed of for me and my family. Although I am only 18 years old, as my Mother's only son, I have gladly stepped into the shoes of the man of the family. Obtaining my college degree will not only allow me to assist my family, but it will position me to be a community leader.  My DREAM of changing the world started years ago when I watched people in my community endure many hardships. Realizing that education would equip me to make a difference, I gladly accept the challenge of being a role model to other young people, especially young men of color and serving communities that are deprived and under-served.

I have first-hand knowledge of what it feels like to be a member of such a community and having to grow up much faster than I envisioned.  You can help me achieve my goals and touch the lives of others by making a donation that will ensure that I start my college career on August 14, 2017.  I have received scholarships, grants and even loans; however, I have fallen short due to some unfulfilled commitments from others who promised to assist, but for unknown reasons, were unable to do. Needless to say, all efforts to acquire the balance needed have been exhausted.

With all sincerity, I ask you to please make a donation to help me attend TUSKEGEE this semester. I need to raise $5,000 to cover the remainder of my tuition. If I don't reach my goal, I will not be able to attend school and will have to delay the first steps of improving my life and the lives of others.  As stated in Luke 1:37 "For with GOD nothing shall be impossible."
