Life has taken us down a road I never could have imagined. My rainbow baby was born a micro-preemie at just 31 weeks. So tiny, so fragile, yet from the very beginning he has been a fighter—facing more challenges in his short life than most of us will ever know.
He spent 83 days in the NICU, hooked up to wires, monitors, and surrounded by machines that kept him alive. Those were the longest and hardest days of my life. From having an emergency C-section, to recovering from a pelvic abscess and uterine infection, all while traveling back and forth to JSUMC and still trying to care for my household and older child—it was overwhelming. But through it all, my baby showed incredible strength, and after nearly three months in the NICU, he finally came home to us—a true miracle.
Because he was born so early, his journey is far from over. He still faces many medical challenges, including two upcoming surgeries, countless specialist visits, and ongoing daily care. He remains on oxygen 24/7, which means daycare is not an option, and he requires me by his side at all times. His health has become the center of my world, and while I am so grateful I can be here for him, the reality is that it has created significant financial hardship.
I am unable to return to work at this time because I am his primary caregiver, and his needs are around the clock. On top of that, insurance does not cover all of his medical equipment at home. Between hospital stays, travel to appointments, uncovered medical expenses, and simply trying to manage everyday household needs, the stress has become overwhelming.
That’s why I’m reaching out and asking for help during this difficult time. Any amount you can give will go directly toward his medical care, upcoming surgeries, medical equipment, travel to appointments, and household expenses while I care for him full-time. If you are not able to donate, please know that sharing this page or keeping my little boy in your prayers means just as much to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting us on this journey. My baby is a miracle, and with love, prayers, and support, I know he will continue to show the world just how strong he is.
