The Dale Nordyke Scholarship Fund

Dale Nordyke, Teacher and Coach, had a passion for Cedarville athletics. Not only did Dale teach and coach boys' varsity basketball for over 30 years, he also started and ran the Miami Valley Basketball Camp for 10. Dale was a teacher, coach, mentor, role model, friend and father. He influenced the lives of so many in Cedarville, Ohio.
Coach Nordyke always stressed to his teams, it was not always about winning or losing but how the game was played. He valued determination, integrity, sportsmanship and always expected a 100% effort from his players. His favorite poem, "The Man in the Glass", is a reflection of his values.

For it isn't your father, mother or wife
whose judgement up on you must pass

Dale passed away September 9, 2018. To continue his legacy, we are creating a college scholarship fund in his name. The scholarship will be given to a a college bound graduating Cedarville High School Athlete.
