KOTA (Kindness Overcomes Tragic Acts)

Donation protected
On July 7,2013 I lost my son, Dakota Kohler to suicide. It has been, and probably will always be, the worst day of my life. My son was kind, loving, generous and very confident. We had no idea these thoughts could have ever even entered his brain.

After Dakotas death my brothers thought of this idea to start a fund. Something that would help with medical expenses, funeral costs and the million other things that come up with an unexpected tragedy like this. At first I just went along with it because it sounded nice. Then, as we all brain stormed and came up with more and more ideas it turned into something more. It started to help me heal. I saw all the love, generosity and kindness... it was overwhelming. I would like to pass that feeling on to all of you. This "K.O.T.A." Fund is not only for our family anymore. It is for our community. If someone needs help with expenses from a tragic event please come to me and we will assist in any way we can. The only way that this fund can continue to grow and succeed is by telling everyone you know. Please pass this message and site on. Not only for the much needed generous donations but also for someone out there who might need it. Thank you.
