DV Farm Longterm Rehab for Homeless Vets

I'm raising money to benefit DV Farm and any donation will help make an impact for those vets in the program.

We are in need of funding to help keep the equipment running and to fix the Vet Bus that is used to transport the veterans to medical appointments, AA and other program activities.  Our Backhoe that is used for training and for everything needed on a working farm is in need of repairs.  This spring/summer we will need it to make more flat land so we can build an outdoor horse riding ring and permanent fields for the horses. Horses are major part of our Equine therapy program.  We also need to fix the porch at the vet house, build a new duck house, build a new chicken house, among other major building projects. 

Our mission is to take help at risk homeless and addicted Veterans off of the streets and help them transition back into civilian life. From animal therapy to responsibility, we give them the tools to help fix the problems while making sure their toolbox is always full. Veterans in our program are given the time to address the issues affecting them. Working with the VA Hospital, DAV, peer to peer counseling and the local community these vets are given a second chance to get their lives back on track

DV Farm is for those vets that need more time in rebuilding their lives and thrive on challenges. It is not unusual to see the vets in the program taking on projects using anything from chainsaws to heavy equipment with minimal supervision. 
We have ducks, chickens and are currently working on getting a small herd of cattle soon. In addition to that, the vets will also learn horse handling skills, horseback riding and other cool equine things like talking to horses.

Helping homeless veterans get off the streets and find meaning to their life once again.

 DV Farm relies soley on donations to survive.

All staff and board members currently serve as volunteers.
