Christmas Care Packages for Vancouver’s DTES

Despite the challenges 2020 has brought and how different Christmas is going to look this year, we can’t help but reflect on how much we still have to be grateful for. As a pharmacist working as part of a team that provides outreach services to the marginalized Downtown Eastside population, Jenni has witnessed the challenges and vulnerability this community faces. In a year filled with changes and uncertainty for us all, we felt inspired to give back. Our goal is to create 150 to 200 care packages to hand out in the DTES on Christmas day. We have each donated $500 to kickstart the process of buying supplies and assembling the packs. We would be very grateful to anyone who could support us in spreading some Christmas cheer to a community that is often overlooked and misunderstood.
