Derby Radio Control Club Flying Site

The Derby Radio Control Club was founded in 1996 in Derby Ks. Since then the club has been involved in numerous community events designed to get people of all ages involved in Model Aviation. We especially enjoying watching the amazement in the eyes of the young as they realize the joys of flying model aircraft. We have seen this initial spark of joy turn into a full blown love of aviation that has resulted in seeing those young pairs of eyes grown into Pilots, aircraft mechanics & aeronautical engineers.  To that end we are establishing a new multi-use flying site. Over the years we have flown  at multiple locations and have unfortunately had to move on from them because the locations became un-safe to fly at primarily due to housing construction. Our new location is out in the "country" with ample room on all sides to avoid this issue for hopefully decades to come. So now we are in the process of converting the site into a  multi-use flying site. Long term goals include Control Line Circles and a "Water Runway" for float flys!
