Wildlife photos for my artwork
I am an artist specializing in wildlife and naturescapes. One of my goals for 2018 is to travel to the Triple D Ranch in Kalispell, Montana to photograph several species of large animals. This will provide me with a significant collection of reference photos to use in my drawings and paintings.
The funds raised here will cover the cost of the workshop, lodging, and some of the travel expenses to get there and back. I do expect to cover some of these expenses but need additional support.
I expect to attend the September 7-10, 2018 workshop featuring Julie T. Chapman and Greg Beecham.
The costs associated with this trip are as follows:
Workshop sessions $1350.00
Lodging $ 595.00
Air travel & car(est.) $2000.00
TOTAL: $3945.00
Deposit of $285.00 required to reserve.

I have held tight to my dream of being a wildlife artist since childhood. I spent most of my adult working years earning my way in other occupations and saving as much money as possible so that I might one day fulfill this dream. In August of 2016 I was laid off (again) from my full-time IT position and felt the timing was right. My first year was one of adjustment and ended with some encouraging success with shows and sales. My work is even published in two books!
I have received so much support and encouragement from friends, family, and other artists and this makes me all the more motivated to show them what I can accomplish. Your support will provide me with the means of expanding my source of reference material beyond the local zoo and provide an opportunity to meet other working photographers and artists as we pursue our love of wildlife.
I am, and will continue to be, eternally grateful to all who contribute to my efforts whether those contributions be in the form of moral or financial support.
This is one of my recent works, currently published in two different books, "Colored Pencil Treasures V" and "Richeson75 Animals, Birds & Wildlife 2017".
