Pauly Fixx, aka DJ FIXX, is without a doubt one of FL's most prominent DJ/Producer's in the Breakbeat and Dance scene. He has produced thousands of tunes starting back in the early 90's. Pauly is also 1/3 part of the Smookie Illson Trio, whose tunes are supported by Diplo, The Chainsmokers, Dillian Francis, Afrojack and RL Grime (just to name a few!).
Pauly is also an amazing father and stepfather, son, mentor and friend to many.
Anyone who knows Pauly Fixx can attest to his good-natured character- he is the definition of what it means to have integrity and to demonstrate loyality- to his family, friends, and fans.
His ability to take the time for his fans and teach up-and-coming DJ's and Producers the tricks of the trade, and to do it all with modesty despite his accomplishments, is inspiring to many.
In recent events, Pauly has suffered an injury known as Radial Palsy. Since most people are unfamiliar with the disorder, it basically has made his arm and hand unusable, with no ability to grasp objects or move his wrist, hand, or fingers on his own. The injury will require diagnostic tests such as an EMG and MRI, physical therapy, and possibly even surgery. The majority of required medical tests and the treatment will need to be paid out of pocket. The longer he waits for treatment, the more likely the injury will cause permenant damage. Physical therapy for this type of injury is extensive and extremely expensive. If surgery is required, it can range in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The injury unfortunately affected Pauly's right hand, making basic daily tasks (including making all those dope tunes), very difficult. Without treatment, he could also lose the ability to play out at events. Given that Pauly has dedicated his life to creating and bringing his music to shows for us all to enjoy, the injury has been devastating.
This page was created by me (the girlfriend;) with the help of his partners Keith and Darcy, to help Pauly raise the money he needs for testing and treatment! He will know about it the same time as all of you, when it goes public, since he would never ask for help individually.
