DeafBlind Cruise 2015 - SSP Fund

DnA Travels, LLC is hosting it's second DeafBlind Cruise to the Bahamas in May 2015. This cruise event is happening because of an overwhelming number of requests by many DeafBlind individuals wanting a chance to vacation together, a rare opportunity for this special and deserving community.
In order to make this cruise successful, we need to provide Support Service Providers (SSP) to assist DeafBlind guests with navigation and communication. SSPs are fluent in sign language and provide DeafBlind individuals with visual and environmental information, sighted guide services and sign language accessibility to both on board and off board events.
SSPs usually pay for their own air fare and cruise fare, and then will volunteer many hours throughout the week so that DeafBlind guests can enjoy the same access to their vacation as any sighted and/or hearing individual. Although the cruise lines provide sign language interpreters, they do not provide the SSPs which have a very different role providing the guidance and support needed for a unique time with friends and family.
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to assist the SSP volunteers with their expenses. Any amount you donate will certainly help!
