Daytyn's mission to fight MDS

This is my nephew Daytyn. He currently lives at Sickkids hospital but comes from Cambridge Ontario with My sister (a.k.a Mommy) and his brother and sister. Please take a moment to read below and see if you can help.  It is hard to believe that under his sweet little smile is a very sick little boy suffering from a serious and life threatening illness. My sister took Daytyn to the doctor for routine tests with a gut feeling something was wrong. This summer Daytyn wasnt feeling good. Eating less.. dropping weight... his mom and doctors sent him for a bunch of tests to find out what was wrong.  After seeing something weird with Daytyns blood tests and many many trips to specialists....her whole world has been rocked with this information.. Daytyn has bone marrow cancer and will have a long fight to survive it. I am going to tell you why we need your help and how even the smallest contributions can make a real difference for my sister who is a mother of 3, Daytyn and siblings. Here is a bit about them and what they are up against: He has undergone multiple chemotherapy sessions, blood transfusions and a bone marrow transplant. Weakness and a pale little face is a sign its time to get new blood again. He has been treated with morphine and oxygen. A few weeks ago everyone felt so hopeful that the transplant had worked as he seemed to take a positive turn and even came off some of his medications. Daytyn had suffered considerably while his body tried to fight furiously the transplanted cells. He had a short break from his fight until he showed signs things weren't working out as hoped... Unfortunately his little body has rejected the transplant. After all he has been through he is back at square one. The costs so far have been enormous keeping their little family going and they are so very in need of your help. They have been in the hospital a couple months. His mom, has had to take leave from work and looks after him day and night. This includes monitoring him for infection, trying to help him eat, cleaning up when he is sick, cleaning his feeding apparatus and trying to keep his spirits up amongst other things. To make things harder still Datyns brother and sister live here in Kitchener away from their mom and brother whom they miss terribly. They have found some comfort with the love of the rest of their family but we can tell their little hearts yearn for their home and their mom. Daytyns mom's needs to be there to help her baby make it through this. It is tearing her up being split from her kid but knows this is what has to be done to help her littlest one make it through. There are many ways your donations will help. -trips to reunite the family and bring supplies -care for the other two children - food for mom (the hospital does not offer discounts or anything for parents living on site with their kids) And many more ways.
