Cy's Funds for Junior Olympics
Please mute the volume to watch an epic race.
This amazing kid loves to run and it's exciting as a parent to watch him.
If you could mute the volume and watch his face, you can see the focus and determination this little guy has when he races.
He has qualified for 3 events for the USATF Junior Olympics, in Kansas.
Here's another video. Again please press mute:
Last Year, Cy was All American for Track and Field for 2 events: 800 meters and 1500 meters as he placed 8th in both events.
This year, We thought for sure this was going to be a "training" year for Cy as he is the youngest in the age group. He is running with 9 and 10 year olds. As you can see, he took matters into his own hands.
Here are the events and his best times:
400meters: 1:06.40
800 meters: 2:32.00
1500 meters: 5:07.52
These times are very competitive, nationally.
Cy is doing his part by going to the practices, even when it was 108 degrees. Unfortunately he suffered a little heat exhaustion, but still very motivated to get to Kansas.
His talent got him qualified, but at a cost. Please share, post and repost with friends. Anything will help off set the ginormous credit bill we will have when all is said and done.
All donations will be used for the following:
Plane tickets: $2116.25
Car rental: $731.88
Hotel for 7 nights:$933.81
Food and gas for 1 week: ?whatever we can find that is reasonably priced and healthy.
If possible, a small treat for his 9th birthday. We will be celebrating while we are out there on July 30th
Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for helping us help Cy achieve his dreams.
