Hello friends, family, and potential sponsors. My name is Crystal Guerra, your friendly neighborhood college student. As a junior at Georgia State University, I have spent my time working on set as an extra within Atlanta's thriving film industry, personal styling, and teaching swimming lessons. In the Fall of 2018, from July to December, I will be immersed in the heart of India, continuing my studies of Speech Communication and Film at the University of Hyderabad. Your selfless donation will assist with my study abroad tuition which covers travel, housing, and meal expenses. Your donation is helping me follow my dream of screenwriting and directing films that spotlight on "minority" men, women and children. Bollywood is an incredibly self-sufficient industry that employs Indian natives as cast, crew, and background actors. They have mastered the art of cinematography and I hope to learn more about independent filmmaking while there. Alongside my studies, I plan on volunteering at a local non-governmental organization (NGO), that centers around women and children.
