Unpaid internship in NYC - Help needed!

Dear friends and family,
As I'm sure most of you in know I recently graduated from VCU with a BFA in Kinetic Imaging (video/animation/sound) and would like to one day have a job as a video editor or animator. To find a job in my field, however, it's crucial to have essential experience in the form of an internship.
While still in school it proved fairly difficult to find one, due to the fact that most are unpaid. Since I had to pay my way through school, I worked almost full-time (on top of being a full time art student) and every hour not spent working for pay was money that I could not put towards rent, food, bills, school supplies, etc. so I simply could not afford to offer up 20 hours of free work.
A couple months ago, someone from a prestigious organization approached me and encouraged me to apply for a summer internship with her employer. I did and actually got it!
The problem is I'm still going to have a difficult time affording it, and to make matters worse the internship is unpaid and in New York City!
Which means I will have to quit my current job, find a part-time job up there as well as figure out how to put myself through three months of living in NYC, with only a limited amount of time given to work outside of the organization.
Being able to attend this internship means the world to me, and is a giant step for my career, and the thought of not being able to go (especially after already having been accepted) is a devastating one. This is where you come in: any amount that you could share with me, small or large, would make a HUGE difference for me.
The money I receive will go towards NYC rent (approx. $500-$800/month if I sublease a room upwards of $3500 total for a little under 3 months if I decide to live in student housing for interns)
food, Metro cards ($112/30 days), utilities, my dreaded student loans that start up in June, and any other expenses that always seem to pop up in every day life.
I will be in NYC from June 2nd - August 30th.
