Dear Creekside Middle School Parents and Supporters,
What you likely know, is that your Creekside Middle School PTC uses your generously donated and tax-deductible dollars to underwrite and off-set the costs associated with computer and technology updates, teaching supplies, library materials, ROAR store materials, After-School and Homework clubs, keeping field trips affordable, graduation awards, and so much more. Your PTC donations help bridge the gap between the CVUSD Creekside budget and what our children actually need.
The Creekside Middle School PTC is solely responsible for paying the cost of the dedicated crossing-guard who, each morning and afternoon, safely navigates our children across busy Center Street. Without him, our children will have to navigate on their own the crossing of a street busy with impatient, inconsiderate, distracted, and speeding commuters.
What you also may not know is that the costs for maintaining the crossing-guard services recently increased by 50-percent this year – an increase that, unfortunately, coincided with a 50-percent decrease in direct donations made to the PTC during the 2017-2018 registration cycle.
The PTC is now underfunded for the 2017-2018 school year by $20,000!
We are reaching out to all Creekside Parents and Supporters and asking for your assistance. We do not want to choose between our children’s educational needs and their safety needs. Without additional funding, this choice will soon have to be made.
Please donate what you can towards helping us reach our goal of $20,000.
