Creative Dimensions : inspiring youth

I have recently started a program called Creative Dimensions in collaboration with the Boys and Girls club where I meet with the kids on a weekly basis. I am seeking  support to be able to give every kid involved a copy of interactive activity book that will be used as a free wellness tool for every kid involved in order to encourage and empower personal growth. 


 

About ; 
My name is Joseph ' DJ Dimension" Mercado and over 3 years ago I began a path into a creative universe that I would have never imagined before, taking the steps to creating, collaborating, compilation and publishing a comic book !

 

Not just any comic but ndmcomx #1 an unveiling the untold story of my music career as a I transformed my dj /electronic music persona MegaMen NYC into dj superhero's and go into battle a dark being from the EDM void.
 
The creative process of ndmcomix has  become a passage to inspiring others for ndmdigital digital curator Joseph "DJ Dimension" Mercado using his own past trauma to connect with youth around the nation empowering "creative healing" by discovering our inner superhero for organizations Magellan "Virtual My Life" , The Boys & Girls Club .



Most recently ndmcomix #1 was the 'Artist Choice" award winner at BAM ! Comic Book Inspired exhibit in Goodyear Arizona and the comic has been selected  to appear at upcoming Phoenix Fan Fusion. 

 

 

Joseph “DJ Dimension’ Mercado is the creator of ndmdigital specializing in multimedia from music production, record label , dj services, licensing and comic book publication. He was raised in South Bronx & East Harlem during the late 90s when the made a heavy impact in the NYC Dance music scene as part of turntablist duo Megamen pioneering live stream dj performances during the early 2000’s called the ‘Ghetto Soul Sessions’ resulting in global attention with appearances on MTV2 , Telemundo (The Roof) and Virgin Mega store in Times Square. In the summer of 2003 the bright light of this rising Electronic Music star was dimmed when he suffered a near death experience that changed the course of his life. Soon after his injury he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where he started working with at-risk teenagers in the foster care system and gang affiliations. By 2019 Joseph “DJ Dimension’ Mercado began to creatively mesh his life experiences into inspiration by encouraging others to find their own inner superhero through music, art, music, connection and collaboration taking the first
step into the vision with the power of meditation, prayer and visualization he began to develop on a concept that he would use to share his story with the world.

“Creative Dimensions” a unique multilevel initiative imagined by Joseph “DJ Dimension’ Mercado that encourages wellness by utilizing his own past trauma combined with “8 Dimensions of Wellness” (emotional, physical, occupational, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental, and financial) through motivational guest speaker engagements , 1 on 1 in workshop / classroom settings and community events using dj turntables, comic book art, music production as tools resulting in positive social interactions.

Recent community involvement includes online guest speaker engagements for MyLife Magellan Virtual Youth Leaders Fest, Federation of
 Families in Central Florida and weekly workshop where he engages kids in all age groups at Boys and Girls Club. Currently Joseph “DJ Dimension’ Mercado is developing an interactive activity book that will be used as a free wellness tool for every kid involved in order to encourage and empower personal growth.
