Creating a Ripple - Florence Relief

WHO ARE WE?
        My name is Kalon Blanchard, I am currently living in Myrtle Beach, SC and I am on a mission to help the victims of Hurricane Florence. To be honest, this is my first time organizing anything like this, but I just could not ignore the call to service I feel inside. When I saw the utter devastation and disruption that this storm caused, I knew people were going to have lost everything, the worst of all HOPE! I have been blessed to surround myself with a community of selfless, mission driven, and positive people! Our community is a perfect example of how all different walks of life can UNITE around a common cause.  We truly believe in the power of collective focus and compassion.
WE CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
       Our mission is to create a ripple of hope and relief for those affected by the storm's massive flooding. We know that we cannot possibly impact every single family and individual devastated by the storm, BUT we can make an impact on a few individuals and hopefully begin the healing and recovery process for them and their families.
This is a living project, meaning we have several candidates already that we intend to serve. At the moment we are keeping those names private. However, you are more than welcome to message me and I can provide some more specific details on those families/individuals.
We do not wish to lose the element of surprise. 
This entire project will be documented and updated daily via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/kalon.blanchard). 
As we progress, there may be a need for a specific facebook page related to this recovery effort. 

HOW CAN I HELP?
      There are a few ways to join the mission:

1) Donate funds to the cause. 
             Money doesn't solve everything, but it sure helps when you have lost everything. 

2) Donate your time to the cause.
             Whether you live in the affected area and can help a neighbor, or if you would like to partner directly with us, giving your time and attention to someone in need can change their life moving forward.

3) Raise awareness about the cause.
              We know that be the recovery effort is complete. It is on us to keep the spotlight on the recovery effort until the mission is complete.
