Create A Smile (C.A.S) | Film

Create a Smile is a missionary trip and a film documentary about the orphanages of Vietnam. In May 2013, Hannah Talton will be visiting Vietnam for the first time with me. Not only will she be learning about a whole new culture, she will also be spending time with the orphans of Vietnam. We are collaborating with Tiny Hearts of Hope, which is a non-profit organization created by an American family who moved to Vietnam. They have several orphanages that we will visit.

Hannah was born with a cleft lip and palate. She was very fortunate to be born in the United States, as she has had many surgeries since the age of 4 months old. I was born in Vietnam myself, and though I was not an orphan or abandoned, many unfortunate events in life left me close to being one. Luckily, I was adopted into the United States at age 10. These opportunities have shaped our lives in many ways. However, other kids around the world are not so fortunate. So in May, we hope to meet these less fortunate children, and hopefully make a big enough impact in their life so that they know that there is always hope. We hope you can help us reach our goal, and in turn, help create a smile on their faces.

With your money, we are planning to do the following:

$2500 - Donation
$1000 - Trip fees (gas, food, expenses)
$2500 - Plane ticket

(Even if we do not meet our goal, we will still donate the same percentage -- of the total-- that we would have with the intended goal)
