Crater XC Race for the Title!

Donation protected
The 2017 season is here and our team has been running thousands of miles, volunteering at multiple events and getting ready for the new school year. With all the hard work and dedicaiton our teams have continued their journey of success. Last year our men's and women's team won the Midwestern League Title for the second consecutive year capping off 16 conference titles in 14 years. Our men's team won its 6th OSAA State Title and the Nike Border Clash Team title which matched up 10 of the best teams from Washington and Oregon in a showdown at the Nike Campus in Portland. Individually, Ariana Marks and Andy Monroe won the Midwestern League titles.  Andy went on to win the OSAA State  5A Championship and Gatorade Athlete of the Year. Both are returning this year to compete for the team.

With that, we are beginning our efforts for the season and need your support. We are a small blue collar town of less that 20,000 people in Central Point, Oregon so we work hard to fundraise the needs of our program. This season will cost well over $20,000 for us to complete all the in season meets, travel and post season races we hope to attain. We will race for multiple titles this season with both the girls and boys teams. Our goals this year are high hoping to repeat league titles, state titles, Nike Regional and a shot at the big NXN Nike Cross National Race. Our men's team starts the season ranked in the top 10 teams in the Country this season by Milesplit (see the link.)

Our athletes are also amazing students with a team cummulative GPA of 3.83 of which we are extremely proud.

Our needs go well beyond the team alloted funds that our school can provide for uniforms and local transport. We are additionally challenged this year with the forest fires here in Oregon and smoke forcing us to travel further outside of our region and increasing our costs even more. We use funds to support our own race entry fees, transportation, lodging expenses, food, as well as equip kids who need shoes and clothes into the winter season where we may run in rain and snow well into December. We need your support to help these athletes reach their potential this 2017 season. We are trying to meet all our financial needs by September 25th in order to prepare for all of our upcoming meets through December.
