Cover Funeral home expenses for Pat Smith

Nearly 20 years ago a perky young lady came to help my mom, Maxine Brannan Hodge. Her name is Valerie Smith and she loved and cared for my mom( and dad, too) in their home until my moms passing in 2005. If it weren’t for Valerie’s kindness, care and joy for life my mom’s final years would likely have been much different.
In the past 5 years Valerie and her family have suffered great loss. First, her twin sister Violet passed, leaving behind two young sons. Alex would go to live with Val’s parents. Sadly, her dad became ill and  so Valerie’s huge heart insisted that she care for her dad till he passed not quite two years ago. Recently, Valerie’s mom became ill so Alex went to live with Valerie in Spokane.  Her mom’s wish was to see Alex graduate. Valerie organized it so grandma could see Alex in his cap and gown with a promise that he would graduate from high school.  This picture is of Alex and his grandma. Sadly, she passed away on Friday, 9/25.

Valerie is a strong woman with a kind heart.  She could really use your help to pay for her moms funeral home expenses as well as ease the financial responsibility of raising Alex now.
