Life is unpredictable.
Sometimes you wake up on a Wednesday and you find out the cold you couldn't get over is actually cancer.
But this is life's unfriendly way in helping us remember what is truly important: life.
Christa joined Zillow earlier this year as a recruiting coordinator and has been integral to all the success we've seen in month's past. She came in with her vibrant pink hair and an unbeatable attitude of "how can I help?" The timing of her arrival happened to coincide with a few out of offices of fellow teammates, and she never once hesitated in helping pick up the extra work.
Just last week, when she had a cold that lingered a bit too long, she decided to go for a normal check-up. We found out the devastating news that it wasn't a cold, it was Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Maybe life has a challenging way of showing us what's important, but it sure does know how to time connections. We are incredibly grateful to have her in our lives and want to do everything we can to help support her journey to beating cancer. Let's always remember to appreciate one another --and do our best in supporting that celebration :)
