All of us are changing the world we live in with every action and transaction every day.

However small that impact is, it is cumulative and compounding. 

We have a seven-year window, to end the era of digging, burning, and waste.

Everything we need to survive and thrive is already here.

The Mission

We are on a mission to slow, stop and reverse warming waste and want in seven years.

A just transition; from one state to another must be fast, coherent, and universally accessible.

The opportunity needs to be fair and equitable for anyone.

Who we are

CostCarbon is owned by us all; the individual, the collective, the community and the commons.

It is a not-for-profit with global ambitions.

We propose a new way to trade and exchange goods and services.

This new system is globally applicable and locally adaptable so that it costs less to do the right thing for consumers, businesses and the government.

The Opportunity

Everything we see around us has embodied value in the energy, material and information it is made of.

Waste and externalities are lost and latent value that can be captured in every transaction.

We can unlock abundance at the same time as solving global warming.

We can stop global warming, stop wasting energy and materials and we can stop inequality by reversing the system that has gotten us into this situation.

90% of the value of energy, material and information in products is lost after the first use. That is a 90% uptick or growth opportunity.

Action

In a circular economy, we are all producers and consumers; there is no start and end.

If we empower every consumer to create demand for responsible production we can place an equal and opposite force on the supply of goods and services.

Extractive supply chains become value-generating networks where growth is downward and outward. Consumers like you and me can be informed about what we buy and consume.

Individuals and communities are empowered to call on businesses and the government to serve people and the planet.

The CostCarbon initiative has a 7-year plan to bring externalities into transactions so that we are informed about the choices we make.

The Ask

The funds will enable projects and communication to take action and spread the word.

We are seeking funds to achieve 3 things this year:

Develop & test a demand-side application from an existing design

Document and promulgate existing artifacts developed over the last 7 years; words, graphics, media

Product manage this design to meet the aspirations of the diverse supply-side solutions that are proposed globally

This platform allows for a minimum spend of $5. 

Why $1.67? 

 - It recognizes that we are all equal!

 - It addresses the argument that climate action is too expensive. It is not!

 - It is accessible to almost everyone, anywhere.
