If you know Corrie (Beach) Huish, I don't have to tell you what a strong person she is. As her cousin, I've seen her rise above trials and challenges time and time again. As many of you know, Corrie is going through a rough time right now. After almost 5 years of relative peace, her cancer has returned with a vengeance!

My cousin is no stranger to cancer, but this most recent episode all started around the beginning of November when she unexpectedly had a seizure in her Highland, Utah home. Her brave son, Finn, came to her rescue and called 911 (check out this news story). Immediately following, she received an emergency surgery to remove a brain tumor and she's been receiving chemo and radiation therapy.
The truth is, my cousin is beyond blessed with all of the support she's received during this difficult time. Friends and family have prayed their hearts out, come to her aid, and given countless hours of service. Her local ward (church congregation) has supported her in every way imaginable. She is lucky to have great insurance--covering medical bills--and she's fortunate to have some income from a small business.

Despite all of this incredible support, Corrie is not currently able to work. A very short time before discovering this wreched brain tumor, she landed a great job as an Orthodontic Assistant at a local office. The job worked perfectly with her schedule, and allowed her to be available to her children. I won't go into details, but a recent divorce required some very big life adjustments. The job provided a much-needed financial boost which is no longer there for her.
Now, we all know Corrie is a hard worker and is always counting her blessings, but the fact is she could really use a hand right now. I'm organizing this GoFundMe so we can help her pay the annual $3,000.00 deductible for her health insurance. If we exceed the goal, she'll have some help with household expenses. And if things go really well, I know she'd be thrilled to use the funds to do something fun with the kids or maybe even come down to San Diego for a visit (hint hint hehe).
