Help Daniel beat rare cancer!!

If you've watched a makeup video on the Refinery29 snapchat or an IGTV of a Vice documentary, chances are the video was edited by Daniel Huerta. He's also edited content for companies like Insider and figures such as Chef Gaby Melian. As a young professional and first-generation graduate finally making his mark in the media industry, Daniel has worked hard and lived his life to the fullest. He loves spending time with his family and friends, editing and producing videos, playing soccer, and collecting Pop Funko figures in his spare time. 

This week, Daniel's life changed when he received a diagnosis of Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma (SNUC), a rare but aggressive cancer of the sinuses. Less than 2,000 cases of sinus cancers are diagnosed per year typically in people aged 50+, and it has been devastating to hear this news at a young age. At the same time, Daniel was laid off from his FT video editing job and he recently aged out of his parent's insurance after turning 26 and has been turned away from treatment until he can get insurance.

However, Daniel is ready for the fight and whatever may come. As we wait for news from the insurance companies and treatment plans that include chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery, we wanted to share Daniel's story and raise money for the expensive treatments to come. Any amount is greatly appreciated as treatment must be urgent!
