BEARDWISE GUYS

CommunityWise Needs Your Support!!
All funds raised here will go directly to support programming at the CommunityWise Resource Centre. CommunityWise works to organize lots of great and events as well as training and learning opportunities for members of the public and member organizations of our centre.

To that end....
Seth and Philip, who both work in the Communitywise Centre, are having a beard off! They both really want to raise some much needed funds for programming activities. Either Seth OR Philip is going to shave their beard!!!

When you donate please type either "Seth" or "Philip" on the message. No message equals a tie. Whoever has the most money collected in their name keeps their beard. The other person will chop it off. Most importantly, CommunityWise gets much needed support and we all can have a little fun along the way.

Examples of programs and events held in the past include.
-The Winter Party
-Activist Past-Times Event
-First Aid Training
-Anti-Oppression Workshops
-"Co-location" Forum
-"Building Consensus" Forum
-Monthly "Lunch n' Learns" (Narrative therapy, Co-operatives, Research, Social Media Fluency, Demystifying The Interwbz, Food Politics, lots of other stuff and more to come!)
-Facilitation Workshops
-Community BBQ's

Costs of doing programming include food, workshop supplies, and presenter/facilitator honorariums. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Community Programming is a great way for people to share knowledge and skills. The programming committee is always open to new participants and ideas for programming. It is important to have fun, inclusive, free events for people to attend and this month we are reaching out to the community for support with an online funding campaign..

We are aiming to raise a total of $3000 for program activities for this year. CommunityWise has already raised $1400! Our goal now is to raise another $1600 partly through this fundraising campaign and the rest through bottle drives and in person donations. Every little bit helps and will be used to continue ongoing programming opportunities at the centre.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact CommunityWise (www.communitywise.net) they are also on Facebook (www.facebook.com/CommunityWiseCentre).
