<div>Our beloved Laura Alicia Palomares is once again facing advanced Stage IV ovarian cancer. Her remission was short-lived. After courageously completing a complex surgery then chemotherapy, she was in remission for a few months, but unfortunately the cancer has returned and it’s aggressive. LaurAlicia has now reached the limits of what conventional treatment can offer her, with more chemo or a drug with harsh side effects as the only options. We are heartbroken and devastated, but we are not giving up hope for a clinical trial and/or for a non-conventional cancer treatment program. We have found a couple of programs that can give her immune system a boost and a fighting chance, but the cost to participate is very steep.

<div>Ovarian cancer is often called the "silent killer” because symptoms are vague and many people are diagnosed late. Recurrence is tragically common, and when it happens, options become more limited, more complex, and more urgent. LaurAlicia is fighting for time, access, and every possible chance to stabilize her health, extend life, and preserve quality of life. She is navigating this chapter with courage and resilience, but she cannot do it alone. Laura is relying on Medi-Cal, which severely limits access to supportive therapies that can make a meaningful difference to her immune function during recurrence. This is where her community becomes critical.

<div>A comprehensive integrative cancer treatment program is the long-term goal, which is currently financially out of reach. Therefore, she urgently needs supportive health therapies to help her stay as strong as possible. We are also pursuing second opinions and exploring clinical trials that may offer access to emerging treatments beyond standard care. These options require additional testing, coordination, and travel costs that Medi-Cal does not cover. Your support expands LaurAlicia’s access to every possible avenue of life-saving care.
