Community Kitchen Meals Appeal 2021, WIT

Tax deductible
Because of the continued effect of the pandemic on the lives of our local community, many families and vulnerable people are facing incredible hardship. This year please help the Women’s Inclusive Team by supporting us to provide good, nutritional meals.

Help the Women’s Inclusive Team to provide 5,600 meals

Your donation no matter how small or large makes all the difference:

£5 provides one meal for a vulnerable, isolated person
£25 provides meals for a family experiencing hardship
£35 will feed a vulnerable, isolated person for one week
£140 will feed a vulnerable, isolated person for the whole month

This is more than a meal.

We established our community kitchen during the first week of the pandemic in 2020, over the past year, with our team of volunteers, we have been providing meals to community members who are struggling financial, emotionally and mentally.

More than a meal, our offer provides also practical support and a wider offer of activities to navigate people and families through challenging times.

Our talented Aunties cook delicious, nutritional meals, meeting all dietary needs, while our incredible team of community volunteers donate their time delivering food, including to our vulnerable and isolated community members. This also involves checking in on a daily basis, providing a friendly face and regular contact, and when needed, escalating this to health and social care specialists. Keeping people safe and well in their community.

What our partners say:

“WIT is responsive to the needs of the community and wider social issues, such as creating health awareness, Covid-19 pandemic support, community cohesion, education and training.”

At the Women’s Inclusive Team, we strongly believe that no one should go without. This can only be achieved with the support from our  community.

Your donation will support direct action in our local community. Last year we delivered 8,254 meals, while supporting 664 people with money worries and we reached 800 of our most vulnerable members providing regular befriending checks.

To do this, we need your support.

While there is an essential need for cash donations to provide meals, we understand this isn't an option for everybody. We rely on non-financial support too. Last year our volunteers contributed £200,000 worth of time locally. Be a part of our impactful community effort in the following ways:
