Dear Family and Friends,
Hurricane Maria has absolutely obliterated Puerto Rico.
The situation is not only dire in many areas, but worsening with each passing day. The nearly complete devastation of the power grid and communication infrastructure makes it challenging to know what to do or how to best help. Unlike other recent hurricanes, this is happening in a place that was already on the edge of an economic collapse.
We realize this is affecting several islands and an entire U.S Territory, which makes it so difficult to ask for personal help. But we are asking, for them. Our family, our world. They are some of the most resilient and resourceful people and we are pulling together in their time of need.
The Comer-Lopez family, Colleen, Miquel and Diego, has suffered tremendous loss. Their home has been half destroyed. They will need to replace just about everything from Appliances to Furniture, Cabinetry to Floors… and list goes on… most importantly, their roof.
This fund is to help raise enough money to Raise Their Roof!! This fund might also be able to go beyond that and help rebuild their lives, the simple things. We’ve estimated it will take roughly $10,000 begin the road to normalcy. All the money donated will be used for those expenses and we will keep you posted along the journey.
