Colby Gothia Cup Sweden Soccer Trip

We just found out that Colby was chosen to play on a GPS National Team for a Soccer Tournament in Gothenburg, Sweden!
Gothia Cup is the world’s largest and most international youth football tournament. Each year, around 1700 teams from 80 nations take part and they play 4500 games on 110 fields.

From what we've heard - over 800 players from the GPS Soccer Clubs around the USA were submitted as candidates, and from that 300 were selected and further evaluated, then smaller and smaller groups until the final 16 boys were chosen for this Team. We are very proud of all his hard work and dedication at soccer practices, with private trainers, and his own workouts to play his best.
The trip is coming fast! The expenses are airline travel for Colby and Jenn to chaperone, hotel stay and Tournament costs - essentially $1900 each for colby and jenn hotel and tournament costs, $1400 each for airfare, then $900 for meals, so estimated about $7500 if things and expenses go as planned, hope for a bit of extra since we are unsure how expensive it may be so shooting for $8000 of which we are putting in as much as we can but with the very short timeline are scrambling to get costs set aside! If any lotto winners are out there let us know! ; )
First deposit paid yesterday after finding out just on Monday morning! next tier deposits on April 10, then May 10 and the balance June 10! So coming fast!
Please if you can help us fund Colby on this amazing experience and we are hoping will help set his path towards a College Scholarship and hopefully beyond! He works so hard and is so excited for this life-changing trip he has worked for... A sincere thank you for anybody who is able to chip in!
The rest of our family just cannot even begin to afford the ability to attend and cheer Colby on, so we will be doing what we can to facilitate his dreams!
