Help Rescued Dog Cody's Paws

Cody is a 6 year old dog who was rescued 4 years ago at the pound after he had been living on the streets.  He went through extensive training for over 2 years to get him to trust people.  Now he is ready to take the test to become a Therapy Dog, visiting nursing homes, hospitals and homeless shelters.  On Jan. 10 he was running after a rabbit and took a bad fall. He has not been able to walk without assistance since that day. (He is 98 lbs.)  Now we are told by the specialists he will never walk without pain unless he has surgery to fuse the bones in his 2 front paws.  These surgeries are estimated to cost more than $12,000.  WE NEED HELP SO CODY CAN RUN AGAIN.  We cannot afford this on our own and we feel STRONGLY that he deserves to have a pain free, full life.  He has come a long way over the last 4 years and is a dear Gentle Ben who will give back a lot once he has fully recovered.
