Help Peruvian kids & rescue a pup!
Hello everyone!
Following my partner Corey and I's graduation from university last year, we decided to take a year off to share a volunteering adventure in Huancayo, Peru!
Our amazing French-American team works tirelessly with Tinkuy Peru, an NGO dedicated to help Peruvian children strengthen their probabilities of getting into university and entering the professional workforce by offering them resources, from basic living needs to English classes (high scores in English can set an applicant apart, increasing their chances of being chosen for scholarship).

Unfortunately for us, this journey is not free of charge. We are here for 3 months and we created this fund so you can help us with the financial burden associated with our lovely task.
Where does your money go? Primarily food and housing ($3,000 of our goal to be exact). It also helps with our flight costs and the school supplies we buy for the kids to assure them the best learning environnment (much music, art and dancing!).
As well as working hand-in-hand with Tinkuy, we are helping the incredibly talented director Tino and his wife Mari create an online platform to sell their traditional paintings and weavings (stay tuned for an update and a link to the website!). With the newly made capital they can ensure these sacred skills are passed to the next generation and continue to fund Tinkuy!
UPDATE: Recently, we've been taking care of a puppy that we were seeing regularly on the street next to the school. We found out she has distemper, a tough virus that kills 1 out of 2 dogs. No treatment is available, it's basically up to the dog to fight it, with the help of vitamins and a great dose of proteins. Cody decided to adopt her, and we are doing everything we can to get her through the disease, which means a lot of return trips to the vet, medicine and 1kg of chicken every day. We would appreciate any help for these spendings that add up to the rest!
