South African Coding Whiz Kids
Tax deductible
Please help the talented, young people CodeMakers works in Durban, South Africa get back to creating, coding, and animating awesome projects you can see on our Instagram and YouTube.
The computer room of Umkhumbane Secondary was robbed of the computers that were used by 30+ students everyday to learn Scratch coding skills, animate awesome stories, and build their confidence around technology. Many students had never before used a computer but have become master creators. Hear Thando, one of the students we work with, talk about why they need the support.
The school has made the room more secure and with your help we will replace the stolen computers with low-cost Raspberry Pi's . CodeMakers will continue to staff and educate these talented young people.
Please share and help us reach this goal! $20 will buy keyboard and mouse, $100 will buy a new Raspberry Pi computer and a $100 will buy a monitor.
Thank you!
