Coach John Krause Scholarship Fund

Established in 2013 to honor the life of Coach John Krause and show appreciation for his years of dedication and leadership to the young athletes of the Lake Shore Community.  The scholarship is based on going above and beyond what it takes. It’s about taking on a challenge, giving it all that you have, never quitting and being all that you can be in this life. John was a loving husband, devoted father, hard worker, and a passionate coach who lost a hard battle to lung cancer. He made a huge impact on many young men that will carry them throughout their lives. We hope through this scholarship he will continue to have an impact on young athletes. 
The scholarship is administered by the Directors of the Panthers Athletic Club who will select the recipients through an application process and requirements that must be met. See any Panthers board member for an application.  One football player and one cheerleader will be selected annually. We will award 2 scholarships to 2 Chesapeake High School student athletes from the Panthers/Cougar family. Panthers Athletic Club guarantees a minimum of $500 per athlete annually.
