10/18/2020 update: We are happy to report that the Jay Chagnon Memorial Trust has been formalized and the funds are in the process of being withdrawn to the trust account. Thanks again for your support of the Chagnon boys!
9/13/2020 update: Thanks again for all the generous donations! Please be assured that work is underway to set up a trust fund for the Chagnon boys. While it has taken longer than we anticipated due to COVID-19, we hope to have it completed very soon.
6/16/20 update: We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and support for Jay's family...we reached the original $30,000 goal in just over 24 hours! So, we decided to increase the goal as many are still asking how they can help. The generosity of this community is amazing.
The Hebron Hawks swim family, the broader HHS community and the local swim community are all devastated and heartbroken by the sudden passing of Coach Jay Chagnon. Our promise to his family is that he will be forever loved and never forgotten. If you spent more than a moment with Jay, then you know how much he adored and treasured his precious boys...Layne (5), Barrett (4) and Stone (18 mos). The funds raised through this campaign will help cover expenses associated with their future care and education.
