Climbing the Matterhorn for Macmillan & the RNRMC
Donation protected
funds will be split in a 2:2:1 ratio between Macmillan, RNRMC, and project costs
This August, Harry and I (Lars) will be climbing the Matterhorn, an incredibly famous and technically difficult Swiss mountain, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. Standing at 4478 meters tall, it is a considerable mountaineering challenge and easily the most beautiful mountain in all of the European mountain ranges.
We have chosen to support the Macmillan charity for several reasons. More than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK and by 2030, this figure will rise to 4 million.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations, so fundraising is essential to make sure they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need. Macmillan also does constant research into cancer care as Macmillan must understand the numbers, needs and experiences of people living with cancer, so we can continue to provide our services and advocacy where they are needed most.
Furthermore, we believe RNRMC are an amazing choice as they fund several frontline charities that assist working-age veterans in times of immediate need, helping them to face a range of issues including injuries, mental health issues, substance abuse and homelessness. We are proud to be supporting both of these charities in our mission
All training and mountain updates will be posted on our Instagram accounts:

We are still looking for sponsors to help fund the trip, provide equipment or help further promote this charity cause. If any companies are interested, they can contact us on the Instagram accounts above or through the contact option on this page.
Thank you in advance for all of your support and well wishes and most importantly, for helping us to raise money for such an important cause.
