Dear friends,
This is a personal fundraiser for a friend , Clifton, from New York Redemeer Church Community Group. He is going through a very difficult time in his life. He lost his job during economic crisis; with the passing of his mother in 2009 and brother's mismanagement of asset liquidation, he is in the mist of court dispute for the power of attorney to sell the property. To make ends meet, he moved from Bronx to New Jersey and commutes to Queens where he earns a minimum wage. He recently became a victim of identity theft and trying to work out the case with a lawyer.
He is barely at flow after paying rent and commute costs. The additional expenses with the lawyers is a huge burden. He has been receiving financial help from Redemeer's Deaconte.
Erik and I will be hosting him for the month of June in the hopes to provide him encouragement and help to offset some of his costs.
This is where we need your help!
We would like to raise $3,000 dollars by 6/30 for Clifton. This amount will be able to cover his rent for 6 months while he gets his situation sorted out. This is a temporary relief but a practical one for Clifton's needs.
Would you consider giving a one time gift or pledge to give weekly as we continue to pray for his situation and God's provision. There are no amounts to small. If you do give, we encourage you to give generously. For every gift, I invite you to leave a few word of inspiration. All of your messages will be captured and presented to Clifton along with your donations on Sunday 7/1.
