Classical Actor in Training

I hope you enjoyed the video! That's a bit of where I come from. Here's a bit of where I want to go...


Now studying at The American Classical Academy at George Washington University, I am seeking funding so that I may pursue this passion of mine to the fullest extent of my ability, sans fiscal impediment.

~WHAT I AM DOING~

The American Classical Academy runs Monday through Saturday, from 9 am to 6 pm. Essentially it distills down, hour for hour, a three year MFA program into One Single Year!
Our studies include:  

Movement via Pilates, Ballet, and other dance styles;

the teaching of Jaques LeCoq in Mask;

Ear training, Acting-Text Analysis, and Comedy all fall under the umbrella of Acting;

Topics has us reading, reasearching, and discussing the works of Shakespeare and his contemporaries;

Voice class is putting us in touch with our instrument and how best to utilize ourselves;

Alexander Technique is creating time and space within ourselves to do our very best work;

and Stage Combat is basically teaching us to be unstoppable badasses.

And that is not nearly all of it!

 Work study, TA-ship, and outside jobs are relatively infeasible.   On my end every effort to pinch pennies and go the extra mile (or twelve) has, and shall be, taken.  These efforts range from a diet consisting almost exclusively of rice and beans to biking 17.3 miles to school that I might not have to take the Metro.
