Refurbish Steph&Alaya Memorial

In 2000, we all lost 2 great classmates/friends in Stephanie Starr and Alaya Serafico. Our class came together and built a really cool memorial for them.

Since that time, weather has got the best of that memorial, and we unfortunately lost 2 more friends/classmates in Justin Nesbitt (2003) and Tia Onsager (2011).

Let's all pitch in together and try to raise enough money to bring this memorial back to life, completely in its original form, as well as adding something to remember other members of our class who have passed on.

We had about 120 in our class.  I am setting a goal of $2000, which is about $20 per person.  This should be enough for paint, equipment, nice landscaping, and maybe some solar lights.  Some may not be able to donate, and others may wish to donate more, and other friends/family that are not from our class may choose to donate as well.  You can donate with your name or anonymously.  If we can raise more, that would be awesome.  If we have any leftover funds, we can create a bank account in our class name and keep some money in there for some annual maintenance.  I am creating the fundraising efforts here on GoFundMe so it is 100% transparent and everyone can see exactly how much money is raised. I will also post receipts of each item that we purchase in our Facebook group.

Wow! In just 2 days we have met our initial goal...thank you so much to everyone for helping out! Our initial goal of $2000 seemed ambitious at the time, but the outpouring of support for this project has been incredible.  But let's not stop here! After some discussion with Emily tonight, let's raise our goal and really try to make this something incredible and long lasting. We can add some benches, a walk way that will hold up for years, and keep a fund for annual maintenance. Keep sharing this page and spreading the word, and lets shoot for our new goal!
