Philadelphia native Clarence Tillman, affectionately known as “Eggie”, is one of the city’s legendary high school basketball players. He attended West Philadelphia High School from 1976 until 1978 where he was an important part of the famed team that won 70 straight games and captured numerous championships while accumulating accolades nationwide.

After high school, he attended the University of Kentucky and Rutgers University.

Clarence found success playing overseas for 10 seasons in countries such as France, Israel, Brazil, and Germany.  He then returned to his beloved city of Philadelphia where he started a career in social work, providing counseling and various types of assistance to victims of alcohol and substance abuse.

As fate would have it our 6’8”Clarence Tillman, who has  heart of gold, is currently battling a series of health issues stemming from a freak accident involving a tragic fall on a cold, icy winter day while attempting to help a patient in need.  This exemplifies the character and commitment of Clarence to his patients. The result was a serious knee and spinal injury with numerous complications.

Currently unable to work, Clarence is faced with challenges walking and doing basic daily tasks. Hence, this campaign is launched to assist in providing support to Clarence as he is in need of a special motorized scooter (able to accommodate his size). Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to purchase this much needed scooter. Please know that 100% of the monies raised are for this product and the campaign will end once the goal is met and/or the scooter is procured.

We appreciate whatever you can contribute and ask that you share Clarence’s story.  Let’s show Clarence how much we appreciate him and his contributions to the community.  Thanking you in advance,
