Please help with raising funds for Clare and Holly.

It is no easy task to put into words, the heart-breaking story of a child diagnosed with terminal glioblastoma multiforme – a rare and aggressive type of brain tumour.

Beautiful Holly (11) has a terminal illness. She battles against it every day but never loses her smile. She has a huge love of horses and unicorns, and One Direction. She lives in St Albans, Hertfordshire, with her mum Clare, her brother Bradley, and her dog Rocky. The family need support for basic living costs as Clare can no longer work.

Even when treatment had finished and the devasting news that it hadn't worked came, she still smiled, loved being around friends and family, had some great days out and embraced life full on.

After a courageous and herioc battle, Holly sadly became bedbound several months ago and has since lost her eyesight and most of her hearing. She has never once complained or moaned about her situation, which in our eyes makes her an absolute hero.

Clare nurses her beautiful daughter around the clock, and as a result has not slept in her own bed for over a year. She has been housebound for several months tending to Hollys' needs at all times and is too frightened to leave her for a second in case Holly gains her wings. She has found comfort from the support of her close friends and family, but now needs your help please.

Clare needs help with general living costs, which should not be something she should have to worry about at this dreadful heart wrenching time. Clearly she is unable to work, but she still needs to maintain her house, look after herself and support her son Bradley.

At the most basic, Clare needs to replace the carpet in her lounge with laminate flooring in order to make moving Holly's hoist easier.

No one can tell how long this will go on for, but the reality is that Clare knows that in the near future she will also need financial help for funeral costs, and cost of living until she can get back on her feet ( how can you put a timescale on this?)

This sounds brutal, but it is the reality of their life. There is no other funding for families in this situation, so please take time to donate.

No parent should have to watch their child die. No child should have their life taken from them. Please support Clare and Holly.
