Claire's Maker Faire trip

This project has gone viral!!!!

I have been selected to exhibit at the World Maker Faire in New York. I am seeking Sponsors to help make this dream a reality.

I started coding two years ago at Girls Who Code's Summer Immersion Program, and have since participated in hackathons (won 2 of them) and worked on my own projects to learn more. When the time came for my senior homeschool prom, I decided to make it memorable and modified my prom dress. I used Adafruit's Flora—a wearable electronics platform—and combined it with six NeoPixels, which are tiny LEDs that work with Flora. I stitched them onto the dress and connected them using conductive thread. The dress even features a battery pack stitched into the skirt, which I can use to turn the lights on and off.  You can learn more about my amazing light up prom dress here (http://mashable.com/2017/05/10/teen-adafruit-light-up-prom-dress/#2bpMGpoHEqqQ) And here (http://www.teenvogue.com/story/aspiring-engineer-copies-claire-danes-met-gala-dress-for-prom#intcid=dt-recirc-cral2_1) and lastly here (https://blog.adafruit.com/2017/05/17/beautiful-neopixel-prom-dress-from-17-year-old-claire-smith-wearablewednesday/)
