Claire's 2018 Summer Intensive

I am so happy to have been invited to take part in American Ballet Theater's Summer Intensive in Tampa, Florida this coming July!

I have been dancing since I was three years old, so this is my 11th year in the ballet world. I love ballet so much and I have my sights set on continuing my training as far as possible, because my dream is to dance with a professional ballet company in the future.


Right now I train alongside a class of apprentice-level students because there is no intermediate program for me in our city. Our family serves as missionaries in Berlin, so we are very thankful to have a place for me to dance, but we kind of have to take whatever is available.

Being selected to train with the staff of American Ballet Theater during the summer is such an honor, and such a help for my formation as a dancer. Having access to all kinds of classes and technique instruction at this intensive is a huge answer to my prayers. 

Would you help sponsor me so I can attend this three-week ballet intensive in Tampa, FL in July? The tuition is $1500 (the first half is due by March 5), room and board is $2100, plus we are estimating that flights between Berlin and Tampa will be around $1000 each for me and my mom. (any extra funds raised will go toward bringing my Dad and brother over to support me, too.) Beyond that, there will be costs for a rental car and other incidentals for our international travel.
