Citizen Intuition Expanding Efforts and Content

Hello,

 

My name is Tino Barragan. I'm looking to raise $8000 to expand my content and efforts in order to bring a well rounded conversation to the table. I'm looking to raise $1500 of that total by 10/13/21 in order to attend an event on 10/11/21 to cover expenses. I'm trying to raise the rest by 10/31/21. Please read below about how I intend to use the funds and why I started this fundraiser.

 

There are a lot of uncertainties surrounding the pandemic and recommendations. I have friends and family on both sides of the aisle. The fact I have to describe it that way is part of the problem. Most people are so busy that it's hard to keep up with the details and truly look under the hood.

 

I've been heavily involved in my community and in politics as a citizen/activist for 6 years. During that time, I've spoken with candidates & elected reps from the Democratic, Green, and Republican Parties. I've also been in touch with Independents. I've been a part of multiple organizations too.

I've been really focused on communicating with my county board of supervisors for the past few months. That effort has hit a massive roadblock. Even though my concerns were absolutely confirmed by the county health officer in a Health & Hospital Committee meeting on 8/25/21, the follow up from my county district rep has completely stopped. Expanding my content and effort is directly related to him ignoring me. I am at a stage where I can continue to be ineffective with limited hours and efforts or I can go all in. I'm choosing to go all in.

 

We see how the news divides people and communities. I created a video platform and to a lesser degree, a podcast platform under the name Citizen Intuition. I have also created multiple social media accounts. My work and effort has been in a part time capacity. But I can't be effective that way. I'm looking to take these efforts to the next level. I've been building my network and learning a lot about the issues. I feel like I can give something different than what is being reported now, even by independent media. My goal isn't just to report news. My goal is also to truly look for solutions. Here is my video platform where most of the videos are video clips of experts speaking about the issues. Thank you so much for taking the time to read through my gofundme fundraiser campaign. I know there are a lot of people and organizations looking for assistance. I'm hoping my work can help people and communities understand the complexities of the situation better so that we can have individual choice lead the way. I wanted to raise the minimum amount needed to get through the end of the year. If for some reason people donate more than the target amount of $8,000, I will set aside 50% of every dollar over that amount and look for legal efforts to support. I will make sure that is publicly documented.
