We would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you the Cisneros family and share their story.
Phil and Cheri are husband and wife and have an 11 year old son named Andrew. We have had the opportunity to grow close to them through the friendship Andrew and our sons have made as schoolmates at Northshore Christian Academy. Words cannot really explain what a great family they are and what each of them means to us. We would be forever grateful if you would take a moment to read their story and share.
Recently Cheri was diagnosed with a DVT blood clot in her leg. She had been on daily blood thinner
injections to try and reduce the size of the current clot and prevent others. She had been back and forth to doctors but no diagnosis had been made as to the reason for the clot. Despite treatment the clot grew and multiplied. This last week she was having some difficulties and so she went to the emergency room. Shortly after, she had a few small strokes and further testing showed that she had very advanced end stage cancer of her liver with multiple metastasizes throughout her body. She was given less than six months to live.
Cheri is conscious and communicating but having some confusion with memory and details due to the strokes. Cheri will need hopsice care indefinitely. This being said Cheri had not been able to work due to the clots and now with the events of last week their income has been reduced to fifty percent along with the mounting costs while going through this tragic diagnosis. We hope to raise enough money to help cover some of their daily expenses and medical costs . Phil has been a constant at her side and has also had to be away from work.
The biggest thing we can do as a friends is to ask that the remainder of their time together be filled with quality, comfort, no pain and an outpouring of love from us and our community, and help them with their short term needs and ease some of the stress on top of this difficult situation. We would be forever grateful, as Phil, Cheri, and Andrew would be too.
