It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I humbly write to ask for help for my friend's family who has experienced more than their share of heartache recently.
Marco, Alexandra & Maribel, lost their mother, my friend, Hilda, unexpectedly last year, on 1/31/15, due to heart disease, sadly, their father, Melesio, lost his life to a heart attack this month, on 9/3/17, while traveling home from his brothers funeral. Alex and Marco still live in the family home, and Maribel recently moved into her sorority house, paying her own way. Both girls are still completing their college education at Chico State while working part time to cover their college expenses. While the family home mortgage is small; the Cisneros children cannot afford to maintain the home while going to school full time, both girls still have 1 and 2 years respectively until they are finished and able to start a career.
Anyone who has spent any time with this family knows what a loving, generous, atmosphere they had, and welcomed everyone into.
The monies raised will be used for the Cisneros children to continue to pay for the home their parents purchased and raised them in for the next 2 years until they can pay for it themselves.
Helping these kids be able to keep their home, and only asset their parents left them, would mean the world to me. I've watched them grow from kindergarten into responsible young adults who have always done the right thing in any situation.
