Chu Martin, “Chewey”, is suffering. She’s lost the two most precious people of her life, her parents. Her father, James “Mr. Jim” Martin, was admitted to the VA Hospital ICU for 3 months due to organ failure following an 11 hour leg bypass. On Feb 1, Chu and her family understood there were no longer any positive options and made the difficult decision to give him peace. Four months later on May 30th, Chu discovered her mother’s lifeless body at home.
With the devastation and mental stress, Chu is challenged with unexpected afterlife expenses as well as other overwhelming financial obligations that she cannot face alone. There are time sensitive issues that need to be attended to as well as the expense of her mother’s cremation. Any and all donations are highly appreciated, along with prayers and support to help our friend/family/co-worker cope with such a traumatic life event.
