On Good Friday 2016, father of two Christian Ashby, 36, was on his regular early-morning ride around Lake Wendouree at 6.20am when a car veered on to the wrong side of the road and hit him head-on.
The keen triathlete and podiatrist was left fighting for life and his family are absolutely devastated by this horrific hit and run accident.
Many people in the community have asked how they can help. The Ashby family do not want to cause a fuss but as local community members are motivated to do something we have set up this page so that groups can donate funds into one place.
Any funds donated will be provided to the Ashby family for their use in the future. It may be used to assist with medical expenses and the day to day costs associated with dealing with this accident or alternatively donated back to the emergency services who have worked so tirelessly for the Ashby family.
