The purpose of this charity is to raise enough money for the endowment (self-funded) of the Christopher A. Mejia Scholarship at the Monmouth University School of Business in West Long Branch, NJ.
If you are lucky, in your lifetime you will meet someone who is head and shoulders above the crowd. Someone who has a light burning from within. A true leader. Chris was just such a person. Those who knew him were truly blessed. He was a loving, caring individual who put family and friends before himself. He helped others to help themselves. Chris was an inspiration to all who knew him. His life was cut short as he was paving his legacy. Chris was the first in his family to graduate college.
This scholarship in Chris' Memory will be awarded on a yearly basis to a worthy student who has the special attributes Chris possessed. Someone who can carry on.
